Primerica did not convey proper business protocol when receiving my term life application and during the determination process thereafter.
1) They would not provide a copy of the application they took from me after the interview 2) They would not provide specifications or paper work related to how they determined rates for their customers after the interview 3) Their medical examiner took my blood pressure three times and asked me personal medical questions in between each blood pressure reading and it felt like a lie detector test. 4) They told me my insurance premium was going to be double what they originally quoted me after four and half weeks from the time of my initial application.
Their explanation was that my driving record and body weight in relation to my height were the reasons. A) It turned out that my driving record has had no points added to it since 2003 B) It turned out that the body weight I needed to come in at was 206 and my weight was 208.5 on the digital scale the examiner brought with them, with my clothes, shoes and cell phone on and about a gallon of water in me because the medical examiner told me to drink as much water as I could prior to her showing up.
It turns out that the examiner logged in a different weight than what I had seen on the scale but that my agent could not tell me what the examiner logged in due to privacy laws ? (My privacy was private even to myself)
So obviously I was sensing that something just seemed a little too convenient or maybe "constructed" or that I may have been part of some "auto-piloted" process, where people get quoted a low number to draw you in and then because there is no way of proving anything they say after the fact they double your premium.
I was emailed from my agents personal email, not a Primerica email, which I thought was odd and I am still waiting for any conclusive information or evidence that would justify they're reasoning for doubling my premium.
I have faxed them my driving record which I happened to have on me and offered to allow them to take my weight again at any time (this time with the knowledge that my weight was off by 2.5 pounds, fully clothed, with a cell phone and about at least a half gallon of water in me, but Have not heard back from them.
The last I heard from them was about four days ago and at that point my agent said she was still waiting to hear from "Underwriting" about a possible re-evaluation of my application and that she would call me "tomorrow", that was three days ago.
I sent them an email yesterday explaining that if I did not receive an explanation in writing regarding all my inquiries by the end of the month that I would turn the matter over to my attorney and that I would exercise any and all of my civil rights to get to the bottom of this possible hoax.
My advice to anyone who might be considering any kind of lifeinsurance from any insurance company.
1) If they will not provide you with a copy of the application, run.....
2) If they will not provide you with specific guidelines on how they determine your premium, run...
3) If they make any claims what so ever about how great, big and successful they are, ask for proof....
4) Last but not least stick to a known lifeinsurance company (in my opinion), because if something is too good to be true it probably is.

Ever wonder why you're a district leader? They gave you an unmarketable title after you recruited 3 schleps and sold some over-priced term to a few of your unsuspecting friends and family.
What's pretty scary is that he can put that title on his "business card" and "train" his downline. Some more unsuspecting people might actually believe he knows anything about financial services beyond what shoved down his throat at the rah-rah meetings.
Drink the punch it will change your life!!! It will make you a stronger, more positive person that will recieve a cause in life that they can fight for.
Monica you sound like you need the whole bowl...j/k

I HAVE BEEN IN THIS COMPANY FOR 9 MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A COMPLETE BLESSING. FOR THOSE OF US THAT COME FROM NOTHING AND HAVE NOTHING, PRIMERICA SHOWS YOU THE WAY TO BETTER YOUR KNOWLEDGE IN A FACE TO FACE REAL EXPERIENCE WAY. WE DO 100% THE RIGHT THING 2000% OF THE TIME. I MEAN WALK INTO A WALMART ASK ONE OF THE 80YEAR OLD ASSOCIATES WHAT HAPPENED AND HOW THEY LANDED THERE THE CHANCE IS THEY WILL SAY MY INS COMPANY WHO OFFERED ME AD&D OR CASH VALUE SCREWED ME OVER AND DIDNT PAY OUT. AND THEY NOW MUST WORK TO SURVIVE. NOT TO ENJOY RETIREMENT TO SURVIVE, GOD HAS A HAND ON US AND THIS AWESOME COMPANY AND WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL WE HELP AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. SO I SUGGEST YOU BE OPEN TO THE BOAT. OR DEAL WITH BEING LEFT IN HARSH WATERS. AND WE SAIL ON BY PICKING UP THE PIECES OF WHAT OTHER COMPANYS AND THEIR GREEDY AGENTS DID TO OUR FAMILIES.
Hey guys, have a little compassion you guys, Especially you Monica because it sounds like your taking this personal, should be educating this person instead of taking it personal, It wasn't you guys who scammed her, and calling her names and demeaning her isn't very professional. I have Primerica insurance, it I am very satisfied, but you gotta know that there are some unscrupulous people everywhere, Now Mark you are truly professional you educated the customer, while the rest of you are only increasing the persons ire, Come guys if you think this type of interaction isn't hurting your company than think again. Keep in mind people are ignorant of many things and the reason you are in business is to educate and help them. Yes some will and some won't , but not because you didn't properly educate them, but because you can lead a horse to water , but can't make him drink. Chill on the insults it says more about you than about the consumer.
All of you who have these Horror stories of PFS are crybabies. Stop *** and don't business with us. We have a saying: Some will, some wont, so what?
So to you, I say so what? I know what our company does is right. If the PERSON you dealt with wasnt good, why didn't you report them? We as a company could care less if you report the morons whoare only in it for the money think they can cheat people and get off like the rest of the industry. We dont need those *** either. I am confident in what I do. If I was your rep..no one could top it...simple. Because I do what's right 100% of the time. If it doesnt make sense for YOU it wont happen. And if someone can push you into actually accepting insurance you dont feel 100% omfortable...then like I said before you are a crybaby. I checked my stuff out and if the rep wasnt cooperative...go to their office and get the *** thing yourself! There, by law is a transaction copy of the application inside the policy.
Don't be a crybaby...get what you deserve. IF you think you are better off else where, so be it. I'm still doing business, my team is growing. My income is increasing and I will be great...
And about Primerica going out of business or being sold off... not happening. We are the sale force that pushed Citi to the top with OUR concepts...we'd be the ones to leave them before they'd let us go...and we are still the industry leader and their assets keep growing and growing. Do your homework before you bash.
A few things. When your rates came back different than quoted.... that was due to the process of underwriting. They have classified and rated your risks to be substandard, thus seeing you as a potential liability for the company. Regarding the copy of application... I am not yet aware of all the legalities concerning that. If you are worried about getting ripped off, you have a free look period (which in Florida starts when you receive your policy, but may be different in other states) in which you can look over your policy and cancel it with a full refund of premiums paid. Premiums are regulated by the State, so if you think they are unfairly charging premiums, it has all been preset by State Rules and Regulations.
you can't blame the company (primerica life) about what the nurce did to you...nurces are thirth party and you have the right to go to your own doctor the get examinated and summit that info to the life insurance co.
